In my own experience, and in my work with my clients I find that one of the biggest ways we break our hearts is our own expectations. One of the biggest causes of relationship and marriage breakdown is ‘expectation’ – or more accurately ‘unmet expectations’. One of the biggest causes of struggle in our lives is our (unmet) expectations – usually unfair expectations that we project onto others.

Never Settle in Love.  When Karin called off her wedding at the age of 34 it was another 6 years and more heartbreak before she finally found her person –  The One she knew she was waiting for all the time she refused to settle for mediocre connection and living a life that would’ve been a lie.
