The Dating and Relationship Advice podcast for high-achieving, conscious and purpose-driven single women looking for a committed relationship. Designed to bring you the best dating and relationship advice to help you overcome whatever obstacles might be holding you back from attracting and creating the love relationship you want.

One of the key components in any relationship is actually about us being able to trust in our own intuition, our gut instinct, and to really trust and be able to listen to ourselves. That’s what we’re going to talk about specifically today. This episode’s guest is Jenna Birch. Jenna is the co-founder and CEO of Plum, a new dating app that mixes accountability and smart matching for a better online dating experience. She is author of The Love Gap: A Radical Plan to Win in Life and Love, a guide for modern women navigating the new romantic landscape. A longtime journalist and columnist, her work appears frequently in print and online publications including Cosmopolitan, Glamour, Self, Teen Vogue, Marie Claire, Health, and Yahoo, among many others.

Many men and women are not aware that they are suffering from toxic relationships, or how their self-worth is being eroded in the process. For some, everything that happens within a toxic relationship becomes so normal that they can’t recognize the signs even if it’s right in front of them. So today we are going to talk about that with my beautiful friend and fellow coach, Faye Hurley, Self-Worth Coach for Business Women with Big Dreams. In this episode, Faye shares with her personal story of overcoming a dysfunctional childhood and how her childhood experiences led her into toxic adult relationships that included physical abuse, divorce and being abandoned during pregnancy. She also shares with us some of her turning points and rock-bottom moments that became the foundation on which she rebuilt her own life in every way and restored her own self-worth.

This episode is a follow up on last week’s episode with Susan Quilliam where we talked about the three ways to choose the right partner for you. Susan had lots of practical examples and activities to use, as well as key questions you can ask yourself when figuring out if someone is right for you or not. I want to take that a little step further by sharing with you my talk at a recent speaking event. If you’ve had a number of “failed” relationships, or if you’ve just come out of a big breakup or marriage breakdown, stick around to learn The 7 steps you can take to help you get closer to figuring out why things haven’t worked out for you up to now Why you’ve been choosing the relationships you have, and What you can do differently next time.

Are you in the process of starting again, or looking for a new relationship? I am so passionate about this topic. I can’t think of a more important decision that we make in our lives other than to figure out who to spend our lives with, and if we want a family, who do we want to have children with. Maybe you’re dating, or even just starting to get back out there, and you’re figuring out what it is that you’re looking for and how you’re going to go about attracting the right person for you. It’s about creating and choosing the right relationship for you. Our special guest for today is relationship coach and author of How to Choose a Partner, Susan Quilliam. Aside from authoring 22 books and serving as the Ambassador for Relate Cambridge, she also serves on the Sexuality Council of the Royal Society of Medicine, and is Patron of the Outsiders Charity advocating the relationship rights of less-abled people.

Are you finding yourself at a stage in your life where you may want to have a family of your own – but you haven’t yet met the right person for you, for whatever reason?  Or do you really want to be in a committed relationship, but you’re feeling ambivalent about having children of your own, yet at the same time you feel as if you’re running out of time? Maybe you’ve invested years of your life in a long-term relationship or marriage that didn’t work out – and in addition to that you’ve also been progressing your career or building your business, but you’re feeling the pressure biologically because you know you have a certain window in which you’d ideally like to have children or be able to?
